Similar to praying the Rosary but instead of meditating upon the mysteries of the rosary, we meditate upon the seven sorrows of Mary. Also, instead of 10 beads per mystery, we have 7 beads per sorrow. This Chaplet can be prayed entirely for one day or one sorrow can be meditated upon per day. Begin by reciting the ACT OF CONTRITION. O my God I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend Thee my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen. V. O God, come to my assistance. R. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be...
